A friend of mine - Lxxxx Axxxx - came home last night at about 22h00 in his house in Constantia. A dark old model 4-door BMW was parked in the street near his driveway. When he opened the gate 3 passengers/coloured men jumped out, all armed with handguns and ran towards him. Lance managed to shoot one in the chest, who was pulled into the car by a second. The third fired at Lance, hitting him in both arms. When Lance wanted to return fire his Colt 'exploded' as he used old ammo (corroded point, cartridge discharged in the magazine) and he physically attacked the third. They left when they heard police sirens approaching (neighbours heard the shots).

Reason why I report this is that the police told Lance that these guys are part of a group doing hit-and-runs in the Camps Bay and Tamboerskloof area. They are obviously moving their working area and Hout Bay might be in their planning.
