Suspicious Vehicles
The following two suspicious vehicles have been noted close to Tokai as recently as yesterday - please note that they have different front and back number plates with each vehicle using the same two numbers!1. Silver Toyota Yaris with differing registration plates CA 64 130 & CA 283 599. 2. Green/Blue Honda Jazz with exactly the same registration plates CA 64 130 & CA 283 599.

An alarm activated in Chestnut close to Candlewood between 05h45 & 06h00. I assume no one was at home as the alarm ran it’s full cycle & then switched off. It is possible that the intruders from the above incident (Longkloof) were making their way back onto the pipetrack & tripped external sensors.
In hindsight this alarm activation should have been called into Watchcon. There is a growing need for properties to have external sensors to monitor traffic at or passing through properties
14h00 Intruder on premises in Northshore. Resident chases suspect, NSBB spots the suspect in a red t-shirt ducking into bush close to Edward St. No response arrives, NSBB gives up and goes home.
17h18 Charlie male armed with a knife robs a swimmer at the Kronendal pool. Robber, medium build no teeth wearing a yellow top and ¾ khaki pants. Excellent response from HBNW and Scott Est. 18h30 most stand down after a fruitless search.
19h00 HBNW and SAPS Inspector Buchner mobilize to guide a couple of runners off the mountain above Kronenzicht. 19h34 Job done.

Difficult search as the area that the suspects headed into is very dense and overgrown. Discarded goods and knives found in the dunes. Discarded clothing also found. Suspects may have exited the area onto Princess at the Beach Club gates before a cordon was thrown around the area. Victim attended to promptly and was stable and conscious when an ambulance arrived. Most responders stood down around 17h45.

Seems to be a false alarm? 01h13 Resident reports dogs restless in the Farriers Way area. ADT scour the area and report it clear.

Early Tuesday Morning
The following from a Hughenden resident.
Last night Tuesday 15th between oh00 and 0h45 our white vw combi was stolen in Hughenden road. It was towed away by a Ford looking bakkie with a white white front and contrasting loadbed (dark loadbed. Unfortunately the surveillance nightshot shows anything from black to red as black). The thieves arrived at 12pm and parked up the road and waited for about 30 min. during which ADT drove up Hughenden Rd and so must have seen the suspicious vehicle ? our dogs barked and we did check the property and saw nothing as they were parked up the road at the bend next to no. 13
They then proceeded to break into the vehicle , breaking the steering lock. They couldn’t get the car started and so towed it away. From our camera footage it looks like 3 charlie or bravo males.
This was organised as they were ready to tow the car if they couldn’t get it started. From the time of breaking in to the towing away was quick +- 5 min.
The vehicle that they were driving was very noticeable , looks like a chop shop story – white front and darker loadbed. See photo. No longer fitted with the bullbar.
ADT must have a better description of these guys and hopefully more info , they were definitely suspicious looking.

ADT WERE AT NO19 DEALING WITH A BREAK IN AND SAW THE TAXI OUTSIDE MY HOUSE BUT IGNORED IT. POLICE ARRIVED VERY QUICKLY AND HAVE SINCE ARRESTED THE TAXI DRIVER WHO CLIAMS NO KNOWLEDGE OF PERPETRATORS. We live in Sluysken road and on Saturday around 4 pm we had an incident which was repeated earlier at 3.00 pm at the residence of the previous owner of our house who live at least 10 mins away on the top of Pondicherry Road. A red Jetta reg no cy CY304525 pulled up hard against our gate. The passenger rang our bell and when requested what he wanted he garbled something he was looking for. The person had woolen gloves on. The driver and passenger then drove away. I immediatly took my car and drove all around the area for over 40 mins and could not find any sign of car. Only by co-incidence in telling the other homeowner did we cross comapre the event and we came to the conclusion that we were targeted for a break in and the common link could be the pool company and garden service that we both utilise.

22h44 ## Edward Rd. Brass taps broken off outside house. ADT respond. 23h14 DB patroller spots a couple of Charlies running into the Hangberg. May be connected. SAPS respond. Inspector Sebastian on stakeout as always! 23h48 Two unconnected skelms detained. 0h21 Two more skelms detained by InspectorS thought to be the copper thieves although nothing was found on them.
