0h00 to 03h00 Poachers very active around the harbour. SAPS respond. A number of red flares launched. Flares seem to be originating from the harbour village. It’s possible these are used to distract authorities or warn poachers of activity by authorities. A number of poachers were arrested around Robben Island last night and the activity in Hout Bay may be connected.
