16h10 TOOV at 1# Wood Rd, Scott Estate.

Beware from a Northshore resident:

On Saturday (23^rd) around midday 2 Charlie females arrived by car at our complex main gate and talked their way in under the pretext of looking for a place to rent. Once inside they managed to persuade one of the residents to let them inside her apartment by way of a ruse whereby one of them claimed to be pregnant and urgently needed a toilet. While she disappeared upstairs the other one said she was thirsty and was taken to the kitchen where she received a glass of water (thus effectively splitting up).

Because the toilet visitor took a long time the resident became suspicious and herded them both out of the premises. Once they had gone the resident discovered that cash and jewellery (sentimental value) had been taken and went to the police station to report it.

Apart from being aware of this modus operandi ourselves it is recommended to make your staff/family aware also.
