Thursday Incidents

13h08 ## Chestnut. Scrap collectors helping themselves to goods on private property. 3 Bravo’s in a dark blue Mk3 Cortina bakkie CFR 32213 SAPS attend.

13h38 ADT report. Bokkemanskloof, # Elmtree Close, house break-in. Suspect, Bravo male carrying a toolbox, dressed in blue overalls without branding, may be masquerading as a repairman (electrician)

14h20 Charlie male dressed in blue jeans, white t-shirt and blue cap, trespassing in Gordon Rd N’shore. HBNW, SSP’s respond. Mariners Wharf not on the air despite repeated calls. Seems like Edward Kriel? on the loose again. 14h24 CH makes contact and suspect runs. Radio reports repeatedly ‘ping’ the suspect and guide responders in. 14h37 SAPS arrive to assist.
14h44 Suspect, Edward Kriel, cornered and arrested.

17h50 Milner Rd. House break-in during the afternoon. SAPS attend.

18h15 Watchcon. ## Albert intruder on premises. Suspect wearing a green 'soccer' type shirt.

  3. How can the public become 'Editors' so they can post their own information..? Thats the idea of the blog..public participation results in more info been uploaded.

  4. Hi Ian, the comments function allows public participation and is not moderated at present. If the comment is significant I or one of the other two editors will submit it as a ‘Post’. I have lifted a number of earlier comments and ‘posted’ them. Members of the public cannot 'post' directly.

I find it interesting to read that Edward Kriel (who incidentally hid in my garden on this day)was caught and arrested, but reading further back, he was caught and arrested a few days before this as well - so how come he was not in jail? I fail to see the point of chasing and arresting criminals if they are released soon afterwards, seems to be a waste of effort and time, not so?

  6. I'm not sure of the exact circumstances but very often the 'complainant' refuses to lay charges and the suspect has to be released. This happens time and time again. HBNW and SSP's run around like mad catch the suspect and the complainant that squealed couldn't be bothered.
