Monday Incidents Updated

08h52 Break-in at ## Victoria Ave. Slightly built Bravo intruder attempting to assault the resident. HBNW, SAPS and SSP’s respond. 08h55 Male wearing a black beanie, brown jacket still on premises seen vaulting the wall onto Albert. 09h08 SAPS uplift a suspect. Nothing further

From a resident. A (new) house bordering the pipetrack, Bokkemanskloof, above clay cafe was hit last night at 17h30. The dogs who sleep inside did not even bark. Laptop liberated, and DVD en route it seems. I don't think they even woke up. Window forced. Reported to SAPS this a.m. This new road is called Ruschia road. Seems like an insidish job, maybe builders, maybe cable layers . . . . it was a brand new laptop. .

  1. when you have builders in your house, you are 99% sure to have a robbery!
Why not organise a system where we all trade our skills with each other and try not to use "outsiders".
    It will be safer

  2. I second that. If you go through the posts, you'll notice a pattern. Break-ins at Darling Street cnr's Union/King.. Building had just finished on Darling above School. Orange/Campbell Street. Building going on.. etc. Noone knows where the Foremen or Construction company owners find the workers, if they themselves even know them and more importantly, do they care what happens once their job is completed?!? There should be standard stipulations, eg. any workers can only work if they produce valid ID docs, address etc.,and copies taken and verified by the owner of the properties.
