Thursday 18th 12h00. Sol was captured at a residence in Euclia Rd this morning. He's in good shape and will be released in the Cape Point area.
Wednesday 17th 10h30 After touring the Heights for the long week-end Sol has moved back to Kronenzicht where the Baboon Matters team are attempting a capture
Sunday 11h45 Sol? visiting in the Brunia area, Kronenzicht.
Saturday 11h45 Sol still dropping in to his close relatives in Llandudno
Friday 09h40 Sol is now at Llandudno Primary School having arrived in Fisherman's Bend late yesterday afternoon. Bang pots and pans or a spray with a hose if you really need to move him on, otherwise allow him to move on by himself. Close windows and doors, secure bins or move them into the garage.......only looking for food and a troop of females!
A large male baboon arrived in HB on Sunday 7th and is currently touring in the Kronenzicht area. Keep windows and doors locked. If he enters your home leave him alone as he will leave after raiding the pantry and fridge where you will loose all of your eggs! Don’t spook him in the house or he will panic and cause damage along with defecating as he charges around. Take a photo for the family album if you can. He is easily moved on in cold weather with a spray of water from the garden hose but best left to wander off by himself. Baboon matters are aware of his presence here. Reports are that he has a white tag in one ear indicating he may be 'Sol' and has been through the Valley once already ending up in Greenpoint where he was last captured. If you have a photo of him please send it bonneville@absamail.co.za
