Tuesday 8th 13h13 SAPS report mugging on beach near Dunes restaurant. Lady tourist, sitting on the beach, robbed of kitbag containing various valuables including cell phone, by two Bravo males slender builds dressed in black. Rapid response by SAPS, SSp’s and various HBNW members. Mainstrean / Mariners security not available on air or telephone for some time (10 minutes). 13h29 V.A. Two suspects seen running out of reeds into dune area between river and Beach Club. 14h40 ADT assisted by Coastal, following unknown suspect in the Bird Hide area.15h08 Most stand down, nothing further.
22h41 Mon 7th ADT Reports forced entry Victoria Ave. Front door forced, computers removed. Nothing further

this was an interesting experience in that a) SAPS asked for assistance from HBNW quickly b) SAPS were first on scene and c) SAPS outnumbered HBNW. That was a great response from them and it was as it should be - the professionals backed up by the eyes and ears of HBNW.
