Friday / Saturday. Sharp increase in criminal activity

19h30 Baviaanskloof, Bamboo Ln. House break-in laptop etc stolen. SAPS attend.

02h30 Bokke guard disturbs two suspicious persons in Blue Valley / Restio Rd. area, one carrying a bag. 02h42 Bokke patrol with guards, report two suspects may be in bush either side of Blue Valley Ave. ADT proceeding to area. Nothing further.

03h17 SAPS, Baviaanskloof Rd / Close area positive incident at guest house, goods stolen.

03h32 BR Northshore, White Toyota with blue bonnet, 3 Charlie males inside up to no good in Northshore area. 03h42 Sluysken St, attempted vehicle theft. One suspect detained in area. SAPS respond. Suspect released. Nothing further

04h01 XX Chestnut Drive Overkloof, resident reports suspect on premises. SSP responds. Nothing further.

10h09 HBNW mobilise to assist concerned wife and locate husband in Kayak off Chapmans Peak. 10h23 Kayaker spotted happily paddling along minding his own business. 10h28 Bugaloo Jetski approaches Kayaker and confirms all OK. HBNW stand down.

16h00 HBNW stand by to assist NSRI after a hiker has a fall in the Sand Bay area. Hiker brought out by Quad bike then 4 WD vehicle and finally Metro Ambulance.

  1. The chestnut drive suspect may well be the same as the bokke suspect(s) a few hours earlier. If there is any pattern (ie day & time) in these bokke incidents then we could try and put some observers high up with night sights?

    Secondly, I think the Bavians incident occurred in close proximity to the path leading to Military road. Although the bushes have recently been cut back it provides lots of places to hide.
