04h29 ADT ## Luisa Way attempted break-in. Suspect on or close to premises. SAPS ADT and VJ respond. 04h48 Restless dogs in Westerford Rd. Might be the escape route. 06h00 VJ report stroller in Luisa. 06h01 Stroller, empty handed, reported to be running. 06h09 Runner interviewed appears to live in Valley. Nothing further. Suggest Luisa residents scour surrounding area for stashed laptop. These two incidents must be linked.

The guy ran when he realised i was watching him from a distance. I first saw him near jct Luisa/Elise. At the end of Luisa he first ran up towards Suikerbossie, then turned down to the international school. he was clearly spooked. Delta 5 stopped him by the IY circle and let him go. In retrospect his story was rubbish - no one goes to mandela park from valley VIA LUISA WAY in Nooitgedacht. If, as i think, he was our man, he waited until +/- 6am to break. Thats when ADT (and I think SAPS as well) are on shift change. If SAPS has stopped him we could have checked up on his address. Concur with Johann that the laptop is probably in a bush in the Luisa Way area, possibly in the bush area at the end of Nooitgedacht road.
